Um Captain why aren't we going anywhere?

Passengers:We have been sitting here for nearly 12 days.
Captain: I have been sick and everyone knows its hard to go anywhere when you aren't feeling well.
Passengers:We have places to go, we want to get off the ship.
Captain:Believe me I want you off of here too, you whiny bastards just hold me and my ship down.
Passengers:Why we never...Have you been drinking?
Captain:Pipe down, how many calories are in Nyquil and cough drops?
Passengers:Well can you just stop here and let us off?
Captain:Stop? We haven't been anywhere in nearly 2 weeks, why haven't you just jumped? Seriously, why don't you passengers work like that? Sigh...well let's get this ship moving...Wait where were we going?

The Proof Is In The Pictures

I made some photo coffee mugs for Christmas and we use them every morning. I was looking at my mug this morning and it had an old family picture. Wow. You can definitely see a difference in The Fat Man and myself. Well, I think so anyway. Lets keep it up baby!

There is no spoon (not in my hands at least)

211...210...209 How interesting, I believe I have reached a peculiar point in time. At this time 2 years ago I had reached 209 before going to Vegas with the wife. The 3 day trip single handedly destroyed all of our hard work. Vegas proved to be too powerful of an excuse to over eat at every opportunity. I learned my lesson that the brain absolutely controls every aspect of weight loss (and pretty much everything else), and making just a few exceptions/excuses can easily cascade into an avalanche of setbacks.

I am Jack's complete lack of surprise

I knew I would go up a little after a holiday, but the only thing that rose Sunday was my appetite. It was all there: lox, cream cheese, bagels, chorizo, potatoes, eggs, bacon, ham, pancakes..etc. Not to be undone by the fact that dinner also featured ham, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, rolls, strawberry blinis...AAAHHHH!

I suppose I am too much of a gracious guest to turn down the hard work of an individual. To make matters worse we haven't gone grocery shopping in quite awhile and raiding the stockpile resulted in a giant plate of nachos last night. I am Jack's distended belly. I am pacing myself today, as a Buffalo Wild Wings just opened near us. I have done my research and can afford 6 measly buffalo wings (72 calories each), with all the celery and carrot sticks I can choke down(Jack LaLanne would be proud).

As of right now I am back up to 214 from my low of 211.5 Sunday morning.

10%

I hit my 10% weight loss goal. As a reward for myself, I went to get my haircut. It's a little shorter than I wanted, but it looks nice. Looks fresh and gives me more life. :)

Bike Ride

So my neighbor has been wanting The Fat Man to go bike riding with him for a couple weeks now. We are finally around this weekend so The Fat Man agreed to go riding with him on Saturday. The Fat Man is going to get his ass kicked. LOL This neighbor runs marathons and does triathlons. Yeah, The Fat Man is going to die. I wish you luck baby.

And if this particular neighbor is reading, please take it easy on my husband. Please.

:)

Update: They didn't go. It was raining on Saturday.

10%

When I was doing WW their first big goal was 10% of your body weight. I guess if you lose just 10% of your body weight you are much healthier.
The Fat Man has hit his 10%. CONGRATS!!!!
I am not quite there, but only a few pounds away.

We had to exchange some shorts for The Fat Man last weekend because we bought him his normal size and they are too big! I am also in my old jeans that I wore before getting pregnant with Logan. They are a little snug, but I'm used to wearing things so baggy. I don't look like a sausage, so they're ok I guess. ;)

We ordered pizza last night and stopped at 2 pieces each. Their website said 1 slice was 210 calories so that was only 420 calories. (although I think my slices were bigger than they should have been!) It was very yummy, but we didn't overdo it like we did a couple weeks ago at the D Note.

Back to losing

Finally back to where I was a little over a week ago. Monday night I put in 30 minutes of cardio, and yesterday I did 2 thirty minute sessions. I weighed in this morning at 214! I was surprised that I lost weight, because yesterday I had consumed nearly one metric ton of pasta(there was hardly any left at the end of the day). Which coincidentally spurred the second cardio session out of guilt for eating so damn much. It was a box of whole grain penne pasta (7 servings, 200/10) with a 6 Italian turkey sausages (6 servings, 161/90 lol how is that lean?), 1 onion carmelized(1 serving, 60/0), 2 cans of diced tomatoes with Italian seasonings (6 servings, 30/0). So the entire dish was 2606 calories. So yesterday I easily consumed 2200 calories, but burned about 800 with an hour of cardio. Stupid food...:)

I also wanted to make a mention that Anna Mae is looking hot. :)

Stop toying with me scale

So last week I failed to make as many strides as I had hoped. I weighed in this morning at 216.5, which is still up from the previous week. Yesterday morning I was completely famished and dehydrated and weighed 215. Which was exciting but not healthy, as it was brought on by a night of heavy drinking. I also failed to do any cardio last week so this week I plan on rekindling my like-hate with my elliptical machine, and weather permitting my bicycle<*gasp>.
